KRG are exclusively partnering with an independent communications agency who have recently been acquired to appoint a Senior Account Manager into their growing team as they onboard more clients.
This is a brand-new opportunity created as a result of exciting client wins and continued team growth, offering the chance to join an established agency at an important stage of its development.
We're looking for an experienced PR professional with a strong background in Crisis and/or Litigation PR, who is ready to take ownership of high-profile client accounts while playing an important role in developing the next generation of talent within the team.
The Opportunity
As Senior Account Manager, you'll take ownership of day-to-day account delivery across a portfolio of clients (retained & project based), acting as a trusted adviser and key client contact.
You'll work closely with senior leadership on complex communications challenges, bringing strong strategic thinking, excellent media relations skills and a calm, considered approach to sensitive situations.
Alongside your client responsibilities, you'll have genuine people-management responsibility, managing and mentoring junior team members including Account Executives and Interns.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of client accounts, taking ownership of day-to-day delivery and client relationships
Act as a trusted senior point of contact, building strong and lasting relationships with clients
Provide communications counsel across complex and sensitive issues
Bring specialist experience across Crisis and/or Litigation PR, supporting clients through challenging situations
Develop and execute communications strategies alongside senior members of the team
Lead media relations activity, identifying relevant journalists and proactively developing opportunities
Draft, edit and oversee high-quality communications materials including press releases, pitches, briefings and opinion pieces
Monitor the news agenda and provide clients with relevant insight and counsel
Work collaboratively with wider teams to ensure excellent client delivery
Take responsibility for account processes, team workloads and day-to-day delivery
Support the commercial performance of accounts, including identifying opportunities for growth and maintaining profitability
Line manage and mentor junior team members, including AEs and Interns
Set work, provide constructive feedback and support the ongoing development of junior colleagues
Contribute to recruitment, appraisals and the wider development of the team
What We're Looking For
Proven experience working across Crisis and/or Litigation PR at an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager level
Strong media relations and communications experience
Previous people-management/ line-management experience
Excellent client management and communication skills
Ability to work confidently across multiple accounts and competing priorities
Strong writing, editing and strategic communications skills
Commercially aware, organised and able to take ownership
