Job Description
Humly is currently recruiting a versatile and enthusiastic PPA Teacher on behalf of a supportive, vibrant primary school in Hartlepool.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (KS1 & KS2) while providing essential Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) cover for class teachers.
As a PPA Teacher, you will enjoy a full-time timetable without the heavy full-class responsibility of full-time planning, marking, or data tracking—making it ideal for teachers looking for a balanced, rewarding role in a welcoming school community.
Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver high-quality, pre-planned lessons across various year groups in KS1 and KS2.

* Maintain positive behavior management and foster an inclusive, active learning environment in every classroom.

* Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of all pupils, including those with SEN and EAL requirements.

* Mark work completed during cover sessions and provide constructive handover notes for returning class teachers.

* Collaborate effectively with support staff, teaching assistants, and subject leads.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status.

* Proven experience teaching or covering across primary year groups (KS1 and/or KS2).

* Strong classroom management and adaptable teaching techniques.

* High energy, organization, and a collaborative approach to school life.

* An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process one).

Benefits of Working via Humly:

* Competitive Pay: £135 – £240 per day, paid weekly via direct PAYE (no umbrella company fees).

* Digital Convenience: Easily manage your schedule, timesheets, and bookings via the Humly app.

* Work-Life Balance: Deliver engaging lessons across the school without the full weight of home-marking and planning.
