Main Purpose of the Job
Our client is looking for a Post Operative to provide reliable and high-quality internal and external mail services between various sites. This role is integral to ensuring efficient delivery and collection services, supporting the logistics team in maintaining seamless operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Delivery Tasks: Deliver stock, consumables, stationery, and courier items to designated points, ensuring signatures are obtained where necessary.
Record Maintenance: Keep accurate records for all deliveries, including courier and stock items.
Mail Processing: Collect, sort, and process all incoming and outgoing mail in accordance with operating procedures and divisional policies.
Outgoing Mail Management: Ensure that all outgoing mail is sent via the correct methods and carriers.
Vehicle Operation: Operate fleet vehicles, including cargo bikes, and maintain vehicle log-books and daily vehicle checks.
Customer Service: Promote excellent customer service, carry out basic logistics stock control administrative tasks, and communicate clearly and politely with all staff, students, and academics.
Person Specification
Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge:
Experience in a comparable environment (mail room, goods in, storage, dispatch, logistics, etc.) – Desirable
Qualified to drive delivery vehicles – Desirable
Experience driving in central London or a comparable environment – Desirable
Skills and Abilities:
Good basic IT literacy and ability to use essential IT systems for controlling and recording the flow of mail and other items – Essential
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of staff, students, and service providers – Essential
Personal Attributes:
High accuracy and attention to detail – Essential
Physical ability to perform delivery and collection duties involving handling and carrying mail bags and other bulky items – Essential
Capability to work effectively unsupervised using own initiative and under pressure to meet strict deadlines – Essential
