Role – Teaching Assistant
Pay - £83.85 Per Day
As a Teaching Assistant, we will provide you with a mass of experience by working with a wide range of Primary Schools in Cardiff. Your role as a supply teacher is to help teachers prepare lesson materials, support students to ensure they understand, set up / tidy classrooms and much more. This role will be vital in developing your key skills as you will be based in different schools across Cardiff, ranging from Reception – Year 6, helping to find where you belong.
What a day as a Teaching Assistant may look like:
- Watch, record and report student’s progress.
- Playtime and lunchtime duty.
- One to one support with individuals that are slightly behind or need additional support.
- Monitoring reading, writing and reiterating lessons.
- Communicating with children on their progress and provide feedback.
- Promoting positive pupil behaviour and conduct.
What we are looking for:
- Preferably some experience with children. This can be both personal and professional.
- A genuine desire to make an impact on young lives.
- Ability to work alongside teachers, a class of students or supporting a child 1-1.
- Flexibility to adapt to work in different classrooms and with different age groups.
