GSL Education invites applications for the position SEMH Tutor for post-16 education in Newcastle.
Job a Post-16 Tutor (SEMH), you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding our students through their academic journey and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess the learning needs of students and develop appropriate strategies to meet these needs.
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
Support students in managing their behavior and developing coping strategies.
Foster positive relationships with students to build trust and rapport.
Work collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Maintain accurate records and report on student progress to senior staff and parents.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience working with Post-16 students, particularly those with SEMH needs.
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students.
Patience, empathy, and resilience.
