Description:

My Client are a leading provider of railway infrastructure services, dedicated to delivering safe and efficient operations across the North East of the United Kingdom. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a number of dedicated and skilled individuals to join their team as a Possession Support Specialists.

Role Overview: As a Possession Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of railway possession works across the North East region. You will be responsible for providing support to possession planners, project managers, and field teams to ensure that possession activities are carried out in accordance with safety regulations and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Possession Planning Support: Assist in the preparation and planning of possession works, including coordinating access requirements, resource allocation, and logistical support.

2. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, including Network Rail standards and protocols.

3. Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to possession activities, including possession plans, permits, and risk assessments.

4. Communication: Liaise with project stakeholders, including Network Rail, subcontractors, and internal teams, to communicate possession requirements and coordinate activities effectively.

5. On-Site Support: Provide on-site support during possession works, including monitoring progress, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements:

1. Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) Certification: Possession Support Specialists must hold a valid PTS certification to work on or near railway tracks.

2. COSS (Controller of Site Safety) or IWA (Individual Working Alone) Certification: Candidates must possess either COSS or IWA certification, demonstrating competency in managing safe access to railway worksites.

3. UK Driving License: A valid UK driving license is required for travel to various worksites and locations across the North East region.

4. Experience: Previous experience in railway possession planning or support roles is highly desirable.

5. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation are essential for this role.

6. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are required to liaise effectively with project stakeholders and coordinate possession activities.

7. Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to think critically and resolve issues quickly and effectively is crucial for success in this role
