As a Barclays Portfolio Office Analyst, you will be supporting the Portfolio Office Managers to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Group Finance Technology function by providing highly effective management information and Data on subjects ranging from financial management, MTP (mid-term planning), workforce provisioning ,Vendor management- Demand Challenge process (DCP) to MTP tooling update. Data Analytics and reporting will be the key strength for this role, to ensure we have the right data to help the CIO drive the right Decision.

What will you be doing?
•    Ensuring consistent and accurate progress reporting on the costs and other critical resources consumed by Group Finance Technology (GFT)
•    Ensuring project and resource Finance management cover rang from Resource, Fixed Prices, Time & Material, Hardware, software and other TC resource cost.
•    Providing valuable analytics and help Portfolio Office manager to transform raw data into recommendations for actionable strategies and initiatives to support project deliverables 
•    Helping Portfolio Office Manager to define and develop a detailed, continuous process to ensure the GFT workforce actively managed within agreed headcount numbers
•    Engaging a collaborative effort, creating both visibility and verbally engaging reports and presentations, for GFT management use. 
•    Updating MTP tooling where necessary to help the overall program and resource outlook in the right shape
•    Providing coaching and training to GFT colleagues to help them comprehend financial and workforce scenarios, enabling them to efficiently generate inputs for projects
•    Assisting with DCP process, acting as point of contact to ensure GFT team has the right support to from raising the deal, throughout challenge process until fully approved 

What we’re looking for:
•    Proven Data Analysis and reporting skills – Able to consolidate and maintain large data set on project, resource and DCP deal, and provide the data and report when it’s required
•    Excellent Excel skills
•    Professional communication skills – making oneself understood, sharing information, listening to and encouraging others to get involved
•    Ability to juggle priorities, multi-task and flawlessly execute at speed

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Ability to demonstrate extensive stakeholder management and presentation skills, with effective and influential personal credibility
•    Ability to possess a solid grasp of project management methods and tools
•    Experience working in Project office management (PMO) team and understand how the project finance and resource work
•    Understanding of project finance, resource hiring process, MTP process and DCP process

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
