Are you looking for a fulfilling role where you can make a difference every day? We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our client's team as Hospital Porters. As an integral part of the healthcare service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe transportation of patients and equipment throughout our facilities.

Main Duties:

Safely transport patients to wards, clinics, and departments.
Utilize a powered Bedpusher machine (once fully trained & competent).
Distribute and collect post from all Trust areas.
Move equipment, furniture, and beds between hospital areas as required.
Assist with the distribution and collection of medical gases around the RUH site.
Use a handheld device to manage assigned tasks for safe patient transportation and equipment movement.
Maintain flexibility, motivation, and professionalism in your approach to work.
Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Person Specification:

Qualifications:

Essential: A good level of general education, numeracy, and literacy.
Desirable: Knowledge of health & safety practices.
Experience:

Essential: Experience of working with the public.
Desirable: Previous hospital portering experience.
Driving:

Essential: Full clean driving license.
Time Management:

Essential: Ability to effectively manage your own workload.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
