Description:
Stafforce Ports are recruiting for Rigger/Lasher Port Operatives to work for for our prestigious client at Tilbury Docks.
Responsibilities:
Working on ships/vessels supporting the loading and unloading of containers and lorry trailers.
You will form part of a team chaining & unchaining cargo on the ship to secure it prior to sailing.
Potentially working as a Banks-person controlling traffic onboard the vessel and ensuring the safe positioning of your team.
You will need to inspect tools and cargo and report any safety concerns or damages.
Abide by all health & safety protocols to aid in ensuring yourself & colleagues remain safe in the workplace.Skills:
Previous port experience is a benefit but not essential as full & comprehensive training will be provided.
Be able to pass safety critical environment test such as drug & alcohol testing.
A Full UK Driving Licence is preferred due to early start times but is not essential.
Ability to work in an industrial high focused safety critical work area and perform physical tasks.
A strong attention to detail and accuracy whilst onboard ship.I return we offer the following:
Pay rates from £13.30 to £20.40 per hour with an additional £1.50 per hour attendance bonus when criteria is met.
Working on a fully PAYE basis you will be paid weekly a week in arrears.
Accrued holiday pay based on hours worked.
