RSR Public Safety are currently recruiting for 2 x Port Environmental Health Officers for a 3 month initial contract.
Job Summary:
Location: London Gateway Port (Stanford-le-Hope, Essex)
Contract: 3-months initially
Salary: £31.04 per hour PAYE / £36.03 per hour Umb

Main duties and responsibilities
* To undertake Port Health duties, applying professional and technical expertise.
* To be responsible for the implementation of Biosecurity controls of controlled products and be accountable for taking the decision on the outcome of this controls.
* To supervise internal and external stakeholders operating at Border Control posts.
* To enforce legislation aimed at preventing the importation of unfit, unsound, unwholesome and other non-compliant consignments.
Person Specification
* Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Environmental Health, approved by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
* Registered with the EHO Registration Board.
* Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
* Previous experience with a Port Health Environment.
* An understanding of relevant EU and National Public and Environmental Health legislation.
