Are you passionate about environmental sustainability and recycling? Do you have a knack for managing complex projects and driving initiatives to achieve strategic goals? If so, our client is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Policy and Project Manager to join our team!
WasteRecruit are pleased to be recruiting for The Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI ) representing the UK’s Paper-based industries. Papercycle, developed by CPI, provides recyclability certification services for fibre-based packaging products and materials.
The successful postholder will oversee all aspects of the Papercycle’s operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the role involves analysing policy effectiveness, contributing to policy development, and engaging in stakeholder relations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and Manage Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations to meet strategic objectives and ensure smooth workflow.
* Develop Processes and Reporting: Create and refine operational processes, prepare comprehensive reports for senior management, and analyse performance metrics to identify improvement areas.
* Policy and Advocacy: Prepare briefing notes and contribute to consultation responses, promoting the benefits of recycling and supporting industry interests.
* Customer Engagement: Ensure timely resolution of enquiries and deliver exceptional service to our customers.
* Market Expansion: Drive initiatives to promote the client’s services and expand our market presence.
* Collaboration and Relationship Building: Work with cross-sectoral teams and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and service providers.
* Committee Involvement: Participate in relevant committees and working groups to stay abreast of industry trends and influence policy.

This is a home based role, with expensed travel. At the beginning you will be spending 1 day a week in London, reducing as you embed within the team. There are also 4 overnight trips to the head office in Swindon per year, for team meetings. There will also be travel, as and when required to Brussels and other European countries.
