Positions: SEN Teachers
Location: Canterbury and surrounding areas, Kent
Type: Upcoming long-term opportunities

We welcome applications from both primary- and secondary-trained teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Candidates with mainstream teaching experience who are looking to develop their career within specialist education are also encouraged to apply.

Experience of working with pupils with PMLD, SLD, complex learning needs or other SEND would be advantageous, but we are particularly interested in teachers who demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive, personalised education and a willingness to develop their specialist practice.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner, able to work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team. Specialist training and professional development will be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the unique needs of SEN pupils.

Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other staff to support individual learning plans.

Regularly assess progress and adapt strategies to promote academic and personal growth.

Communicate effectively with parents/carers and external professionals.

Uphold school safeguarding and SEN policies at all times.

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching children with SEN (especially PMLD, ASD, SEMH, and complex needs).

Knowledge of appropriate strategies and interventions for primary-aged pupils.

Passion for inclusive education and making a positive impact.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

Enhanced Child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
