Plumbing & Heating Lecturer / Trainer

£40 - £50 per hour (Inside IR35) + 6 Month Rolling Contract / Temp to Perm + Immediate Start + 2 Roles Available

Northampton, Northamptonshire (Commutable from: Coventry, Bedford, Peterborough, Banbury, Wellingborough, Kettering, Milton Keynes)

Are you an experienced Plumbing & Heating Lecturer, Trainer or Assessor looking for an immediately available role within a well-established FE college, with the flexibility to choose a rolling contract or temp-to-perm?

Do you have experience delivering training in Further Education or apprenticeships, or are you a time-served Plumbing & Heating Engineer ready to step into education and pass on your knowledge to the next generation of tradespeople?

On offer is a great opportunity to join a supportive department delivering high-quality theory and practical training, helping learners progress through their qualifications and build real, job-ready skills.

In this role you will deliver engaging sessions, support apprentices working towards NVQ and apprenticeship standards, and provide coaching and constructive feedback to keep learners on track and achieving.

Two positions are available: one full-time and one three days per week, both based on-site in Northampton.

The Role:

Deliver teaching and practical training across Plumbing & Heating
Support and assess apprentices working towards NVQ and apprenticeship standards
Coach, mentor and provide constructive feedback to learners
2 roles available: 1x full-time, 1x 3 days per week
3 month rolling contract or temp-to-perm (your preference), on-site NorthamptonThe Person:

Level 3 qualification in Plumbing / Heating (or equivalent trade background)
Industry experience within Plumbing & Heating
Teaching qualification desirable (not essential)
Training/lecturing/assessing experience advantageous
Able to obtain an Enhanced DBS check
