Freelance Plumber – High-Rise Residential Project

About the Role

We are recruiting experienced Freelance Plumbers to work on a large, high-rise residential development in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on a flagship construction project with a well-established M&E contractor.

You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing installations while working alongside other trades to ensure the project is completed safely, efficiently and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out 1st and 2nd fix plumbing installations.

*

Install hot and cold water services.

*

Install soil, waste and rainwater pipework.

*

Fit sanitaryware and associated plumbing fixtures.

*

Read and work from drawings and site plans.

*

Pressure test and commission plumbing systems where required.

*

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

*

Follow site health and safety procedures at all times.

*

Liaise with supervisors and site management to ensure work is completed to schedule.

*

Report any issues or material requirements promptly.

Essential Requirements

*

Valid CSCS Card.

*

Proven experience as a plumber on residential new-build or high-rise construction projects.

*

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

*

Own hand tools and PPE.

*

Strong understanding of current plumbing installation methods.

*

Good communication skills and a professional attitude.

*

Reliable, punctual and committed to producing high-quality work.

Desirable

*

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent).

*

IPAF or PASMA certification.

*

Experience working on multi-storey residential developments.

*

Ability to interpret technical drawings.
