Description:
Carbon60 require 6 Platers to start onsite at Fawley for 9 months work. You must hold a valid CCNSG and trade papers. You will be required to pass a Drug & Alcohol test prior to starting. You will also have to apply or hold a current DBS no older than 3 months. The cost will be reimbursed.
CAT 1 naeci rates apply with all associated add ons
Day to day responsibilities
- understand plans and requirements for each task
- cut and generally prepare required metal/shapes and weld according to structure plans
- carry out skilled fabrication (new or replacement) and all position welding work using a variety of processes
- inspection, diagnosing problems and carry out appropriate testing
- use grinder to smooth and clean as appropriately prior to and after welding
- effectively operate manual and automated welding units and equipment to fabricate, repair, maintain and install metal items equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures etc
- inspect work and fill/repair as necessary
- assemble component parts using appropriate hand/small power tools.
- identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with applicable codes, law, working practices and health and safety
- clean and maintain all equipment and tools and maintain a clean working area
- carry out tasks to meet applicable safety standards, targets, criteria and deadlines and to maximise productivity
- carry out tasks within specified time limits
- help minimise downtime and wastage
- assist team members on projects to ensure efficient operations and to ensure targets are met
- effectively liaise and communicate and maintain a good relationship with team members, contractor/suppliers and other stakeholders as required
- immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line Manager
- adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
- ensure compliance with health and safety and all related legal/statutory regulations, policies and procedures, codes, professional duties, responsibilities and obligations and insert as applicable
