Description:
My Client is looking for X2 time served Plater welder/fabricators for a workshop based position
Duties and Responsibilities:
MIG welding, fabrication and development on bespoke steel fabrications in a heavy engineering environment.
Using varying workshop tools, plant and machinery.
Working from engineering drawings & specifications.
Expert level of building parts/assemblies to engineering drawings.
Welding to a high quality.
Measuring and marking out plate and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling.
Adherence to all health & safety policies and procedures.
Experience required:
Confident plater or fabricator
Experience in welding, drilling, tapping & cutting
Aptitude for interpretation of engineering drawings and working from scratch
Ideally apprentice trained or relevant qualifications.
Confident MIG Welder
Experience operating fabrication machinery
Must have worked within a heavy steel industry
Confident working from engineering drawings from scratch.
