Business Overview
Our client is a rapidly expanding company delivering design, manufacture, installation and commission of conveyors and materials handling equipment to heavy industries. Despite the constraints of the COVID 19 pandemic they have continued a sustained period of growth and have delivered multiple large construction and refurbishment projects. As such there is now a requirement for a Site Plater/Welder to support a site modification project.
The Role of Plater/Welder includes:
Plater/Welder on all supporting steel, structures, walkways, gantries, and handrails etc
Burning, drilling, tacking, cutting, grinding, and modifying plate/steel
Plater/welding thick plate and structural steel
Read engineering drawings
10-hour days Mon – Fri 7:30 am – 5:30 pm
2-month contract (possible extension)
The Requirements for Plater/Welder are:
Experienced in heavy industry, conveying and materials handling equipment such as screens, mixers, hoppers etc would be beneficial
Professional and approachable
Site safety passport required (i.e., CSCS card / CCNSG / Ace card)
Plater/welder time served apprentice trained etc
Team player, attention to detail
