About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Plasterer to join our social housing repairs and maintenance team.

You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality plastering repairs and maintenance across occupied and void residential properties. The role involves working in residents' homes, so a professional, respectful and customer-focused approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out responsive and planned plastering repairs in social housing properties.

Complete patch plastering, skimming, rendering and boarding.

Carry out repairs to walls and ceilings, including making good following leaks and other trades.

Prepare surfaces and ensure a high-quality, durable finish.

Complete remedial and refurbishment works in void properties.

Identify additional repairs and report any follow-on works required.

Work safely and comply with all relevant health and safety procedures.

Maintain a clean and tidy working environment within residents' homes.

Complete job sheets and update works accurately using a PDA/mobile device.

Work independently and as part of a wider repairs team.

Provide excellent customer service to residents at all times.

The successful candidate will have:

Proven experience as a Plasterer, ideally within social housing or domestic property maintenance.

Strong skills in patching, skimming, boarding and rendering.

Experience working in occupied properties.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Full UK driving licence.

NVQ Level 2/3 in Plastering or equivalent.

Previous experience working for a housing association, local authority or social housing contractor.

Multi-trade skills such as tiling, painting and decorating or minor carpentry.

Experience using PDA/mobile working systems
