What you need to know about the role
The role requires working four 12-hour shifts followed by four days off. Responsibilities include operating a range of hydraulic machinery such as rigid and articulated dumpers with capacities ranging from 30 to 65 tons, general loading shovels, screens, excavators, lorry tankers, and static plant equipment. In addition to operating these assets, a small amount of maintenance is expected, including tasks such as greasing, cleaning, and attending to lighting.

What we need to know about you
We are seeking a candidate with experience in operating heavy plant machinery, although training will be provided for the ideal applicant. The successful candidate must be confident and proactive, with the ability to quickly adapt to a demanding schedule. Effective communication skills are essential for working within a small team, as they enable us to meet targets and manage workloads efficiently. A commitment to safety is paramount; maintaining a proactive stance on personal safety, as well as the safety of others in the area is essential.

A full driving license is essential, along with good communication skills. The ability to switch between different assets is crucial to optimise utilisation; hence, being proactive and flexible is essential. The role includes working both day and night shifts. Candidates must be in good health, have excellent time management skills, and be capable of communicating effectively with team members. Additionally, the ability to work independently following given instructions is required.
