Plant Fitter / Mechanical Engineer
Are you an experienced Plant Fitter or Mechanical Engineer looking for your next opportunity?
I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Fitter / Mechanical Engineer to join an established team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, a hands-on approach, and experience working with plant, machinery, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, or commercial vehicles.
The Role
Working within a busy workshop environment, you’ll be responsible for keeping a range of plant and machinery operating safely and efficiently.
Your duties will include:
* Carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant and machinery.
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic faults.
* Identifying faults and carrying out effective repairs.
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
* Following all relevant health and safety procedures.
* Working independently while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship.
About You
I’m looking for someone who has proven experience within a Plant Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Agricultural Engineer, or similar mechanical role.
You’ll need to be practical, reliable, and confident diagnosing faults and working on a variety of mechanical systems. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are important, particularly given the fast-paced nature of the workshop.
Key Requirements
* Valid driving licence.
* Previous experience in a mechanical or Plant Fitter position.
* Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
* Ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs effectively.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong commitment to health and safety.
* Relevant mechanical qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
* Experience working with construction equipment, agricultural machinery, plant, or commercial vehicles.
