Our client is an established and actively expanding financial services firm. As a consequence, the need has arisen to hire an additional Planning Analytics TM1 Developer to work within their financial analytics and reporting team. The business is currently on v.10.2 and in the process of upgrading to the latest version and the successful applicant will be a key part of that project too.
THE ROLE: Planning Analytics TM1 Developer
Reporting to the group head of Financial Analytics and reporting the successful applicant will manage and enhance the TM1 Decision Support models in collaboration with various business and finance teams. This includes overseeing and developing additional TM1 and finance models within the organization. You will also be responsible for implementing, administering, and developing strong financial systems to support all business areas while maintaining high financial control standards.
As a TM1 Financial Systems Developer, you will support the Finance Department in addition to other areas of the business. You will also have the opportunity to be an integral contributor to business transformation initiatives and technology-driven projects within the group.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Planning Analytics TM1 Developer
* Oversee the support, maintenance, and enhancement of TM1 Decision Support models.
* Develop and maintain current TM1 models.
* Serve as the team's representative for technical issues, coordinating with Group Technology on matters such as SQL, Server, and Database issues.
* Act as the primary contact for issue resolution, ensuring customer updates in line with service level agreements.
* Adhere to best practice financial controls to minimize risks to the company’s financial accounts, bank accounts, and financial data. Ensure compliance with group system security and Data Governance policies and participate in audit reviews as necessary.
* Develop and maintain processes that require SQL or VBA expertise.
KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Planning Analytics TM1 Developer
* Extensive experience with IBM Cognos TM1 (Rules / Feeders / Tis / Designing models)
* Exposure to finance and transformation-related projects
* SQL Database experience
* Strong understanding of financial controls and financial/management accounting principles.
* Skilled in documenting and explaining complex topics clearly, coherently, and in an easy-to-understand manner
