We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor for an experienced Planner to join their project delivery team based in Exeter.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Planner from a construction, civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure background to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of work and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
The RoleAs Planner, you'll be responsible for developing, managing and monitoring project programmes to ensure successful delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
Working closely with project managers, commercial teams, subcontractors and clients, you'll play a key role in supporting programme performance, identifying risks and ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed project programmes from tender stage through to completion.
Monitor progress against agreed programmes and key milestones.
Identify potential delays, risks and opportunities.
Work closely with project teams to develop mitigation strategies.
Prepare progress updates and programme reports.
Support tender submissions and pre-construction planning.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Assist with project forecasting and programme reviews.
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements.About YouWe're looking for an experienced Planner with a strong understanding of project delivery within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
Ideally you'll have:

Previous experience as a Planner or Project Planner.
Experience within construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, energy or a related sector.
Strong understanding of project planning principles and methodologies.
Experience using planning software such as Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, programmes and project documentation.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.What's on Offer
