Location: Glasgow, Central Belt, Scotland

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced planner to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across Scotland. Working as part of an established project team, you will play a key role in the successful planning, programming and delivery of complex multi-million-pound civil engineering schemes.

This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects across a range of sectors including infrastructure, utilities, energy, highways and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes from tender stage through to project completion.
- Produce baseline programmes, updates and revised programmes using Primavera P6.
- Monitor project progress and identify risks, opportunities, delays and mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with operational teams, engineers, commercial staff and senior management to ensure programmes are realistic and achievable.
-- Analyse critical paths and provide regular progress reporting.
- Support project teams with resource planning and forecasting.
- Attend project meetings and provide programme updates to key stakeholders.
- Assist with claims, extension of time assessments and programme-related contractual requirements.
- Ensure programmes align with client requirements and project objectives.

Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Planner within the civil engineering, infrastructure or construction sectors.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Experience developing and managing programmes on complex infrastructure projects.
- Excellent understanding of project planning methodologies and critical path analysis.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts would be highly advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both site and office-based teams.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Desirable Experience

Experience working on projects within one or more of the following sectors:

- Utilities

- Highways
- Rail
- Heavy Civil Engineering
- Industrial Infrastructure
