Piping Designer – Permanent Staff – Renewables – Salary + Benefits – East Riding of Yorkshire
Our leading client within the renewables energy sector are seeking a Piping Designer on a permanent staff basis. Working with Plant 3D AutoCAD software to develop initial layouts and concepts for the complete commercial units. Liaison with Design, Test and other Engineering Disciplines to ensure individual elements of the design are incorporated in the overall design of the complete unit.
Duties:
* You will create concept design models using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
* Designing piping, plant layout and associated structural work.
* To create manufacturing drawings from concept designs.
* Production of GAs and datasheets for subcontract manufacture.
* Capture and incorporation of future improvements into layout studies.
* Updating and issue control of P&IDs.
* Working to the company Processes and Standards, to help company meet its goals.
* Control of Line & Equipment Lists.
* Work closely with the design and test team to ensure initial concepts are workable.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Engineering based qualification, C&G level 4/5, HNC, HND, BEng or equivalent experience.
* Industry experience of using Plant 3D or similar 3D packages.
* Industry experience in process manufacturing, chemicals, petrochemicals, oil & gas, food processing, pharmaceuticals, COMAH or similar standards.
* Ideally experience of working with P&ID symbols - BS EN ISO 10628, pressure vessels (PD5500) and Structural steel EN1090
