Pipe Fitter Welder - TIG Stainless Steel
Bedford, Bedfordshire, MK40 4LU.
5 Month + Contract Position - Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5.30pm
£27.50 - £30.00 per hour CIS

Dedicated engineering services for the food and beverage, automotive and aerospace industries, the company has tailored specialist engineering solutions to many of the world's largest manufacturers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pipe fitter TIG welder to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting a major new build process pipework project in Bedford, MK40 4LU.
Duties
As a suitably qualified and experienced pipe fitter TIG welder you will be working on site at a food production facility in Bedford, MK40 4LU. Typical duties will include fabricating and butt welding 1" to 4" OD thin wall stainless steel pipework, with a small amount of schedule 10 stainless steel pipework up to 4" diameter along with carbon steel up to 6". Other duties will include fabricating brackets and associated supports along with assisting other pipe fitter welders as necessary.
About You
Based ideally in Bedfordshire you will need to live within a commutable distance of MK40 4LU.
Demonstrable experience of fabricating and TIG welding stainless steel and carbon steel pipework within a food, drink or petro chemical processing environment is essential. You'll also need to have good all round welding experience with current or previous coding's a definite advantage.
CSCS or CCNSG and IPAF are preferred.
