Pipe Welder
Barrow-in-Furness or Govan
£38.70 per hour
12-month contract
We are looking for experienced Pipe Welders to join major defence engineering projects in Barrow or Govan.
The Role
Welding pipework and components to high-quality standards
Working from drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
TIG, MAG and/or Flux-Cored welding
Working with a range of materials and tight tolerances
Carrying out preheating, grinding, cleaning and finishing
Inspecting and checking your own work
Working safely within a skilled production team
Requirements
Time-served Engineering Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent
Strong industrial welding experience
Experience working to WPS and high-quality standards
Relevant welding qualifications/certifications
Strong understanding of SHE and quality requirements
