Description:
Our client, a prominent organisation within the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a skilled Pipe Fabricator to join their team on a contract basis. This role is primarily focused on submarine solutions and will be based in Barrow-in-Furness.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricating and assembling piping systems based on engineering blueprints and diagrams
Conducting quality checks to ensure all fabricated parts meet specified standards
Collaborating with other trades to ensure seamless integration of piping systems within submarine structures
Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment
Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used
Performing regular inspections and maintenance on equipment and tools
Adapting to various shift patterns, including standard, 3 on 4 off, and night shifts
Job Requirements:
Experience in pipe fabrication and fitting
Familiarity with BAE trades or similar standards in the Defence sector
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a high-security environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexibility to work on various shifts, including nights and weekendsPAYE
