Description:

An outgoing and caring Physiotherapist Assistant is required to work with patients/service users with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and complex needs. The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Personal Training, be calm, understanding and possess the ability to motivate and engage. Although you will be based at our hospital in Baldock you will also perform a mobile service, travelling to our Residential and Psychiatric Nursing Homes across our eight sites providing a high level of support. This is truly rewarding role which can make a positive difference to the lives of our service users and patients. This is a full time position however part time will be considered.

Skills required:

* Driving licence

* A recognised formal qualification as a Personal Trainer

* GCSE in Maths and English

* Strong communication skills

* Comfortable being hands-on with patients

* Previous experience of working as a Physiotherapist Assistant or Personal Trainer

* Previous experience as a support worker or health care assistant would be advantageous

* Willing to demonstrate exercises

* An understanding of mental health illnesses

* Good standard of physical fitness
