Head of Physics

Location: Spalding

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: September

Pay rate: £30000 - £46525 per annum

GSL Education Lincolnshire is seeking a dynamic Head of Physics to lead the Physics department and deliver high-quality teaching from year 7 to 13 in Spalding. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role and shape the Science curriculum.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Physics department, overseeing the delivery of the Science curriculum.
Teach Physics to students across year groups 7-13, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
Provide guidance and support to colleagues, promoting professional development and collaboration.
Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and attainment.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are inspired to excel.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Physics.
Significant experience teaching Physics at secondary level, including A-level.
Leadership experience or a willingness to take on a leadership role.
Strong organisational, managerial, and communication skills.
Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service.
