Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Physics Teacher to join a dynamic department starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Physics lessons to students across the secondary level. They will foster a deep understanding of the subject, ignite curiosity, and encourage critical thinking skills among our students.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality Physics lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and educational objectives
Utilise a range of teaching strategies and resources to create stimulating and interactive learning experiences
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to succeed
Encourage inquiry-based learning and practical experimentation to develop students' scientific skills and knowledge
Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their learning
Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and enrichment activities
Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as requiredRequirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in Physics or a related field
Proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary level, preferably within an independent school setting
Strong subject knowledge and passion for Physics, with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
