Physics Teacher

A large secondary school in Northwood is looking to appoint a dedicated Physics Teacher to join their successful Science department from September.

This is a full-time, temporary to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role within a supportive school community. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Salary will be paid in line with the Outer London MPS/UPS, depending on experience. On-site parking is available for staff.

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that challenge and support students of all abilities, helping them achieve excellent academic outcomes.
Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through practical investigations and interactive learning.
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment where students feel confident to participate and succeed.
Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress and raise attainment.

Qualifications and Person Specification

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A relevant degree in Physics or a closely related subject.
Strong subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive, approachable, and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and learning.Salary: M1 - M6. Salaries are aligned to experience within the Main Pay Range. Teachers typically progress annually from M1 through to M6. UPS requires a formal application. TLR payments are available for agreed, sustained additional responsibilities outside of regular teaching duties.
