TPF Recruitment is supporting a well established and highly regarded firm of chartered accountants in Ashford with the recruitment of a Personal Tax Specialist.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and supportive practice, working across a varied mix of personal tax compliance and advisory services. You will manage your own portfolio of clients while developing trusted relationships and providing a high quality service.
The position can be tailored around your existing experience and future aspirations. For someone with strong advisory experience, the firm can offer an immediate focus in this area. Alternatively, they can provide the training and exposure required to help you develop your advisory skills over time.
The firm may also consider candidates seeking a broader mixed tax role, combining personal and corporate tax responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Managing a varied portfolio of personal tax clients
Preparing and reviewing self assessment tax returns
Supporting clients with a range of tax planning matters, IHT, CGT, trusts, Estates etc.
Providing personal tax compliance and advisory services
Building strong and lasting relationships with clients
Liaising with HMRC and responding to tax enquiries
Identifying opportunities to provide additional advice and support
Assisting with the development of more junior members of the team where appropriate
Requirements
Previous personal tax experience gained within an accountancy practice
ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified, studying towards a relevant qualification, or qualified through experience
Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance
Excellent communication and client management skills
An interest in developing further advisory experience
Candidates seeking either a personal tax or mixed tax position will be considered
