Are you in search of a temporary yet fulfilling role? Look no further! We're thrilled to offer an exciting position for our client based in South London who are looking to appoint a Personal Advisor for the 3 months ongoing, at the rate of £24.54 per hour umbrella

Job responsibilities

To work closely with the practice group to support and enable young people who are currently in care and those who have left care and are eligible for leaving care services to make a successful transition to adulthood through practical and planned interventions

Principal Accountablities

. Work in partnership with the young person, carers, and other professionals to assess the young person needs and undertake actions to address need.

2. Manage the caseload as directed and organise and plan work activities prioritising tasks and responsibilities.

3. Provide written and verbal reports, which are concise, informative and based on analysis of complex evidence.

4. Contribute to the drawing up, implementing and reviewing of the young person plan.

5. Work with key professionals from the department and externally to offer advice and implement pathway plans

6. Attend and contribute to young person statutory review and any child protection/adult safeguarding meetings, including Court as appropriate.

7. Undertake the statutory role of personal advisor as defined in Care leavers' regulations 2010, planning transitions to adulthood 2011, and the Children's Act.

8. Develop and maintain close working relationships with key agencies to ensure a co-ordinated response to young people

9. Work individually and within groups of young people as required.

10. Ensure pathway plans are up to date and reviewed in line statutory requirements.

11. Maintain working knowledge of issues that impact on young people in care\leaving care including benefits, housing and training and employment opportunities.

12. Produce written reports, maintain records and data as required

13. Be involved in department, service and practice group development and training opportunities.
