Are you a passionate Performing Arts Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people?

SEND Inclusion Support is recruiting on behalf of a specialist independent school in Disley, Stockport, for an enthusiastic and creative Performing Arts Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire pupils through Music and Performing Arts while helping them develop confidence, communication skills and a love of learning.

The school supports children and young people aged 7-16 with a range of additional needs, including:

* Autism

* Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

* Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)

* Anxiety and Mental Health Needs

* Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA)

The Role

As Performing Arts Teacher, you will lead and develop an engaging Music and Performing Arts curriculum across the school. You will deliver high-quality lessons that are accessible, creative and appropriately challenging, enabling pupils to achieve both academically and personally.

Key responsibilities include:

* Planning and delivering engaging Music and Performing Arts lessons up to Key Stage 4.

* Inspiring pupils to develop creativity, confidence and communication skills.

* Creating a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.

* Supporting pupils with Autism, SEMH and a range of additional learning needs.

* Monitoring, assessing and reporting on pupil progress.

* Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils and families.

* Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external professionals.

* Contributing to curriculum development and wider school improvement.

* Leading performances, productions and creative projects.

* Supporting enrichment activities and opportunities for pupils to showcase their talents.

This role offers the opportunity to put your own creative stamp on the Performing Arts provision. You will help raise the profile of the arts across the school and provide meaningful opportunities for pupils to discover and develop their talents.

About You

We are looking for a teacher who:

* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

* Has experience teaching Music and Performing Arts up to Key Stage 4.

* Has experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly Autism and associated needs.

* Demonstrates a genuine passion for Music and the Performing Arts.

* Is creative, enthusiastic and committed to helping young people succeed.

* Has high expectations for both academic achievement and personal development.

* Can build positive relationships and engage pupils in learning.

* Believes that every young person can achieve success with the right support.
