Performing Arts Teacher
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary: MPS/UPS3; £30,000 - £46,525 per annum
Start Date: September 2024

If so, GSL Education are seeking a dynamic and creative Performing Arts Teacher to join our Client Secondary School and lead engaging and transformative lessons in drama, music, and dance in York, North Yorkshire.

Business Studies Teacher Responsibilities:

Design and deliver comprehensive and engaging lessons in drama, music, and dance, catering to the diverse interests and abilities of students.
Incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including practical exercises, group work, and performances, to foster creativity and expression.
Assess student progress and performance through practical assessments, performances, and coursework.
Work collaboratively with colleagues in the performing arts department and across other subject areas to integrate performing arts into cross-curricular projects and initiatives.
Business Studies Teacher Requirements:

Degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Music, or a related field.
Be committed to child protection, safeguarding, and pupil welfare.

PGCE with QTS or other UK recognised teaching qualification.
Previous experience teaching performing arts at the secondary level. This may be gained through teaching placements during teacher training or through prior teaching roles.
Strong knowledge and passion for drama, music, and dance education.

Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
