Are you a talented Performance Manager from an Engineering background who is results-driven, with a strong focus on Continuous Improvement?

At British Gypsum we are looking for a Performance Manager to lead a team multi skilled team at our plant in Robertsbridge.

You'll ideally be from a manufacturing or Engineering background with experience of delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve performance. You'll be an inspirational leader who will drive the department forward and coach and mentor your team to do the same!

British Gypsum is part of Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions (SGIS). Much of Britain has been built with British gypsum. Gypsum is the vital raw material at the heart of our plaster and plasterboard, and much of it is mined, milled and made in Britain. We have been mining gypsum for more than 150 years, a heritage we're very proud of.

This is a days-based role, working Monday to Friday 7am until 7pm.

What we're looking for:

Engineering experience in large manufacturing, production or FMCG environment or similar
Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence experience
Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills. If you are proficient with Excel that would be great!
Strong attention to detail.
Inspirational leader able to share success and drive a culture of development and positivity
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous prioritiesWhat you will be doing:

Responsible for managing your team's KPI's, lead your team to success and be accountable for H&S and performance
Drive the plant performance and address losses by applying World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools
Execution of the medium-term plans for the area, applying for Capex for projects
Drives and ensures completion of the WCM activities as identified for the Performance Team in the Single Agenda.
Uses data to analyse and forecast, ensuring that maintenance plan/activities are adjusted as required and that time is used effectively.
