About the role

As a pivotal member of our team, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of our workforce and organisational culture. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will provide comprehensive generalist People HR support rooted in best practice within the profession. You'll also spearhead strategic initiatives, analyse data insights, and drive engagement across the organisation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Provide expert advice and guidance to directors and line managers on complex casework, performance management, attendance, and employee relation issues.
* Champion EDI policies and initiatives across departments and within daily interaction with the workforce and stakeholders.
* Assist Chief People Officer with people projects, strategies and analytics
* Support the roll-out of change initiatives, ensuring directors, line managers and departments receive the necessary guidance and support.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the operational implementation of people initiatives.
* Prepare, analyse, and interpret data and metrics to highlight trends to inform people and business initiatives.
* Support L&D team with talent and work-force management at all levels within the business.
* Ensure that the business remains compliant in all safeguarding activities.
* Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances
* Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
* Maintain current understanding of the departmental needs, strategy, people related issues by becoming a valuable source of people support
* Implement people related programs within departments, such as rewards and recognition and employee development initiatives.
* Actively investigates and recommends solutions to employee relations issues in a quick and efficient manner.
* comprehensive understanding of employment law and ability to stay up to date with best people practices, trends, and legislations.
* Cultivate meaningful relationships with stakeholders across all levels at office and on projects, effectively influencing outcomes.

About you
Our ideal candidates should be a passionate and motivated HR / People Business Partner or Adviser expert with similar solid experience in People HR practices, employee management and ER preferably within construction, ME or a similar industry, with full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
You should also have strong organisational skills with attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS software and the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment is also essential. Should hold an HR qualification at degree level or equivalent and be a CIPD Associate member or working towards membership.
