PE Teacher - 1 Year MAT Cover - INDEPENDENT SCHOOL - September 2026
We are working with a highly regarded independent school in the East Midlands that is seeking to appoint a PE Teacher for a 1 year maternity cover contract starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and well-resourced PE department within a high-achieving school environment. The school has a strong sporting tradition, excellent facilities, and students who are highly engaged both academically and through extracurricular activities.
The successful candidate will:
* Teach PE across a range of key stages
* Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons
* Contribute to the wider extracurricular sports programme
* Support students in achieving their full potential both inside and outside the classroom
* Work collaboratively within a supportive and ambitious department
The school welcomes applications from experienced teachers as well as strong ECTs with a passion for PE and school sport.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* UK QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
* Experience teaching PE within a secondary setting
* Strong classroom management skills
* A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
* The ability to inspire and motivate students
