Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Ipswich, Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students who require additional support, helping them to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork skills and a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.

The Role

As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive Physical Education lessons that meet the individual needs of students with a range of special educational needs. You will create a positive and nurturing learning environment, encouraging participation and personal achievement at every level.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and deliver creative, engaging and differentiated PE lessons.
· Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of pupils with SEN.
· Promote physical wellbeing, healthy lifestyles and positive behaviour.
· Encourage participation in sports, fitness activities and outdoor education.
· Monitor, assess and record student progress.
· Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and the wider school team.
· Support students' social, emotional and personal development.

About You
We are looking for a candidate who:

· Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
· Has experience teaching PE within a school setting.
· Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
· Demonstrates excellent communication and classroom management skills.
· Is patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
· SEN experience is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn and develop is key.

This role is based within a specialist SEN school in Ipswich, Suffolk, easily accessible from surrounding areas including Colchester, Stowmarket, Woodbridge, Felixstowe and Bury St Edmunds.
