Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Northampton. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2024.

Salary: M1 - UPS3

The Role:

As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. You will inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in physical education, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promotes health, fitness, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to support student development.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and promotes a love of physical activity.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the PE curriculum.
Participate in extracurricular sports activities and school events.
Support the school’s ethos and values, maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement.

Skills and Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching PE at secondary level, particularly at KS3 and KS4.
Strong knowledge of the physical education curriculum and a passion for promoting health and fitness.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
