PDI Technician

Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a prestigious main dealership in Bedford, seeking an experienced PDI / Service Technician to join their workshop team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled PDI / Service Technicians aiming to develop their careers within a reputable dealership environment.

Basic salary up to £39,000, depending on experience

Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) to manufacturer standards
Performing servicing, maintenance, and routine repairs on vehicles
Conducting vehicle health checks and identifying additional work required
Adhering to manufacturer standards, technical information, and repair procedures
Collaborating with the workshop team to meet departmental targets and uphold high standards of workmanship
Ensuring vehicles are prepared to the highest standard prior to customer handover
Keeping up to date with manufacturer technical training and developments
Contributing to delivering an exceptional customer experienceRequirements:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician, or PDI Technician within a main dealership or busy workshop environment
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
Good understanding of servicing, maintenance, and vehicle preparation
MOT Licence is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided
Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively as part of a highly skilled teamOur client is committed to developing its Technicians through structured manufacturer training and clear career pathways.
