Description:
We are recruiting for an experienced PDI Technician, Prep Technician, Vehicle Preparation Technician or Vehicle Technician to join a busy main dealership in Derby. Applicants must have at least 3 years' workshop experience, hold a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), a Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points and have the right to work in the UK. An MOT Tester Licence is desirable but not essential.

Salary: Up to £36,500 Basic | OTE: Up to £42,500
Bonus: Weekly Time Saved and Team Bonus Scheme
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

PDI / Prep Technician Role
Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles
Complete vehicle preparation, servicing and routine maintenance
Carry out vehicle health checks and safety inspections
Diagnose and rectify minor mechanical and electrical faults
Identify additional repair requirements and report defects
Ensure vehicles meet required quality standards before customer handover
Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation
PDI / Prep Technician Requirements
Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years' experience within an automotive workshop
Previous experience as a PDI Technician, Prep Technician, Vehicle Preparation Technician or Vehicle Technician
Experience within a main dealership or independent garage
Strong mechanical knowledge and vehicle servicing skills
MOT Tester Licence desirable but not essential
Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points
Right to work in the UK
