PDA Tutor

We are seeking an experienced in-person KS2 Tutor to support a pupil in Buckinghamshire, starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator with a strong understanding of PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) and neurodiverse learning needs.

Role Details

Location: Buckinghamshire (in-person)
Hours: 7 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Pay: From £25 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, interest-led lessons tailored to the pupil's individual needs.
Build a positive, trusting relationship to encourage engagement and progress.
Adapt teaching strategies and resources to suit the pupil's learning style.
Implement a PDA-informed approach to support learning and reduce anxiety.
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
Maintain accurate session records and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

Experience tutoring KS2 pupils.
PDA-informed training and/or experience supporting children with a PDA profile.
Strong understanding of neurodiversity and child-centred learning approaches.
Ability to deliver flexible, engaging, personalised sessions.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.
