Overview

We are seeking multiple Electronic PCB Assembly Operators to join our production team on a fixed-term basis for 6 months, with the potential for a permanent position. This role is integral to the manufacture of high-quality products for the meteorological and commercial weather measurement markets. Contract Type: 6-month fixed term (potential for temp-to-perm) There is also the possibility of the position becoming permanent after 5 months for the right candidate.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am - 3:45 pm; Friday, 7:00 am - 11:30 am
Starting Salary: £24,800 (increasing to £25,100 upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period)

Responsibilities

As an Assembly Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the production of high-quality products. Your responsibilities will include:

Assembling products using hand tools and assembly jigs.
Conducting testing to specified parameters and recording results on works orders/lot cards.
Identifying and recording non-conforming products.
Performing quality inspections on your own work.
Maintaining bench stock items and inspecting bench tools and manufacturing aids.
Utilizing in-house PC systems for production processes.
Adhering to standard construction and build times.

Additional advantageous experience includes:

Soldering and wiring experience.
Previous electromechanical assembly experience using work instructions.
Familiarity with test equipment.
PC literacy with general numeracy and literacy skills.
Experience with manual handling.
Knowledge of ISO9001 standards, including ATEX and CSA procedures.

Day-to-Day

Your daily activities will involve:

Assembling and testing products to meet high-quality standards.
Recording and maintaining accurate production data.
Inspecting your work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
Collaborating with team members to meet production goals.
