The role…
As the Payroll Officer, your role will involve the following important duties:
Advise and review working methods and controls relating to all payroll practices.
Interpret and advise on NJC, Local Government Association, DWP and HMRC.
Undertake complex calculations and collate information.
Review and process additional hours, overtime, expenses and more.
Investigate and resolve pay issues as they arise.
Complex pay calculations and routine pay claims.
High-volume data entry and manipulation.
The experience required…
As a successful Payroll Officer, you will have the following:
In-depth experience of interpreting HRMC regulations & providing advice to employees and managers is essential.
AAT qualified or working towards.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and report on data.
Working knowledge of statutory payments and deductions and relevant HMRC-related legislation.
In-depth knowledge of complex numerical calculations.
