Payroll Officer – Based Exeter

Part-time - 24 hours per week

Basic salary £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience (pro-rota) plus excellent benefits

My client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer who will be directly responsible for the running a monthly payroll whilst also supporting financial reports.

Candidates Skills

* Candidates will have payroll experience any of experience of using Access SelectPay would be an advantage, but not essential

* You will be highly analytical and possess a good working knowledge of Excel

* Able to demonstrate a successful history of working on your own initiative, whilst working to strict timescales.

* Possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and the willingness to learn and develop further

Duties

* You will be responsible for the accurate calculation and input of basic hours, overtime, sickness entitlement and holiday.

* Administering all new starters and leavers, including tax code administration and completion of P45s and online submissions.

* Calculating and processing of maternity pay, paternity pay and shared parental leave.

* Calculate and administer correct pension contributions.

* Administer and calculate the correct deductions for CSAs, DEOs, CMS etc.

* Administer monthly PAYE, national insurance, and any associated HMRC payments, company childcare voucher scheme

* Keep up to date all new starters, leavers, and salary revisions via the company spreadsheet

* Responsible for providing accurate information on starters, leavers, absence etc. for monthly management reports.

* Assist in producing accurate information for requests from external agencies including mortgage references, letting agencies, HMRC and other government organisations

* Accountable for year-end tax reconciliations and returns.

* Assist in the maintenance of HR files (electronic and physical) to ensure that all legal and company required documentation is obtained
