Are you an experienced Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Specialist who enjoys taking ownership of the full payroll process?
We're looking for a hands-on payroll professional to join an established international business based in Hayes/Uxbridge, managing the end-to-end payroll for two UK entities.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants genuine ownership of payroll, works confidently with payroll systems and enjoys partnering with HR and Finance to ensure everything runs accurately, efficiently and on time.
The Role You'll take responsibility for the complete monthly payroll cycle, acting as the key point of contact for employees and stakeholders and ensuring payroll is delivered accurately and compliantly.
You'll be responsible for:
Managing end-to-end monthly payroll for two UK entities
Personally processing and validating payroll data within the payroll system
Managing starters, leavers, salary changes, bonuses, commissions, benefits and statutory payments
Processing pensions and managing pension submissions/reconciliations
Preparing P45s, P60s and P11Ds
Managing payroll queries and resolving issues promptly
Preparing payroll reports, journals and supporting month-end reconciliations
Liaising with HMRC, pension providers and external partners
Supporting payroll audits and ensuring strong payroll controls
Working closely with HR and Finance on payroll-related matters
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase payroll efficiency What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is genuinely hands-on with payroll and can confidently manage the process from start to finish.
You'll ideally have:
3+ years' experience independently managing end-to-end UK payroll
Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, NI, pensions and statutory payments
Hands-on experience using a payroll/HRIS system rather than relying solely on Excel
Workday experience would be highly desirable
Experience managing payroll with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
The confidence to deal with employees, HR, Finance, HMRC and external providers
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving payroll issues Importantly, we're looking for someone who has actually processed payroll through a payroll system. If your experience includes managing payroll data, running calculations, checking outputs and completing the payroll cycle within a system, we'd like to hear from you.
