Job Title:               Payroll Clerk (Human Resources)

Location:              Erdington, Birmingham

Salary:                  Circa £30k

Benefits:               22 days holiday plus bank holidays, Employee discount up to 50%, Health cash plan, Employee Assistance Program, Pension,

Hours of Work 38 hours over 5 days (Monday to Friday) This role is 100% onsite

This well-established company are looking for a Payroll Clerk to join their dynamic team and contribute to the expansion of their thriving HR department.

Typical responsibilities will include

Collaborating with the Payroll Manager to oversee the complete payroll cycle, from initiating new hires to processing departures and calculating statutory payments.
Your keen attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining accurate employee records, managing time and attendance systems, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Additionally, you'll support HR operations by issuing employment documents, managing visa and work authorisation processes, and staying abreast of legislative updates.
This role requires a proactive approach to handling payroll inquiries and a commitment to executing administrative tasks with precision.
About you

You should have a robust background in HR/Payroll environments, complemented by excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Word and Excel.
Your ability to meet tight deadlines, work confidently under pressure, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current legislation will be key to your success.
Proficiency in payroll systems and exceptional communication skills, paired with meticulous attention to detail, will set you apart.
