Payroll Administrator - Local Authority
Location: Fully remote however occasional visits to the office may be required
Start date: ASAP
Contract duration: 3+ months
Working hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 hours p/w
Pay rate: £12.38 p/h
As a Payroll Administrator, your duties will include:
The Payroll Administrator will ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time in line with schedules and statutory requirements and that employees are correctly contracted within agreed policies and procedures.
They will ensure the day-to-day work of Recruitment and Pay is progressed accordingly within timescales and problems identified are solved and escalated when necessary.
Update employment and salary information on employee records, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Conduct regular checks to ensure the integrity of the data held and update the information as necessary.
Ensure accurate payroll information is available to support payments made to HMRC, pension providers and other statutory bodies.Our ideal Payroll Administrator should have the following skills and experience:
Knowledge and understanding of Payroll function and procedures.
Well organised and ability to work in a high-volume processing environment.
Ability to use various systems and good knowledge of Microsoft packages.
