PAVER/DUCTER GROUNDWORKER

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated PAVER/DUCTER GROUNDWORKER to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the installation and maintenance of paving and ducting systems, ensuring the groundwork is prepared efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in management or maintenance is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the construction industry while contributing to high-quality projects.

Responsibilities

* Assisting with the excavation, preparation, and levelling of ground surfaces for paving and ducting installations

* Laying pavers or ducts according to project specifications and safety standards

* Operating basic machinery such as compactors and small lorries under supervision

* Maintaining a clean and organised work site, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly

* Supporting the management team in coordinating daily tasks and project timelines

* Conducting routine maintenance checks on equipment used on-site

* Communicating effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to safety protocols

Skills

* Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and supervisors

* Basic management skills to assist in organising tasks on-site

* Experience or knowledge of maintenance procedures related to construction tools and machinery is desirable

* Ability to operate driving equipment such as small lorries or diggers is advantageous

* Strong physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions

* Organised approach to work with attention to safety standards and detail-oriented mindset
